Commencement is the most significant event of the academic year and a momentous occasion for Buffalo State graduates, their families, and the community at large.
Three ceremonies (two undergraduate and one graduate) are held to accommodate the number of graduates and their guests. Members of the campus community are invited and encouraged to march in the academic procession and volunteer to usher on Commencement day.
The Academic Affairs Office and the Events Management Office, guided by the Commencement Committee, coordinate Commencement activities. Service on the committee is by presidential appointment.
The Commencement website provides detailed information for the graduating class, their families, and faculty and staff.
